Japan Waraji Sandals Hand-made Traditional Footwear Japanese Tokaido Softypapa

Description

Authentic, hand-made Japanese waraji sandals.  These small waraji were probably made to fit the feet of a small child (please see size information below).  Straw sandals such as these were once a very common and convenient form of footwear in Japan, being lightweight and easily replaced when worn out.  This particular pair of waraji are less than 40 years old and are in good condition though they are a bit dry and darkened with age.  Though they could probably be worn we recommend these waraji as a decorative item, bringing an authentic touch of old Japan to any setting.

Approximate Size:
Length: 6.6 inches (17.0 centimeters)
Width: 2.9 inches (7.5 centimeters)
Weight: 2.8 ounces (80 grams)
