Large Old Japanese Wooden Mallet – Showa Period Kizuchi

Old solid wood Japanese mallet (kizuchi). This large and heavy mallet is made of a fine grained wood and is in good shape though it does have some marks, chips, dents and wear as evidence of past use. This mallet dates from the mid Japanese Showa period (1926-1989) and was acquired in the historic city of Shizuoka, Japan near the foot of Mt. Fuji.
