Description
Japanese glass fishing float with original netting. Glass floats such as this have been used for decades in Japan to buoy fishing nets used by coastal and open ocean commercial fishermen. Though used in other countries as well the floats produced in Japan are especially well known and collected. Glass floats which are lost at sea will often be found weeks, months or even decades later as far away as Hawaii and the beaches of North America.

I love this, what are you selling it for? I have one very similar however, it has sea weed and algae on it, it’s very very old and more green, the rope is obviously weathered and greenish as well. How do I find out how much mine is worth? Is there a site that could give me an estimate? It’s sitting on my front porch. Should I take better care of it?
THanks,
Monica
